The air on Lake Como changes in late September. It becomes heavier, golden, carrying the scent of ancient cypress and fading jasmine. For Sofia and Marco, the choice of Villa d'Este was not merely aesthetic, but ancestral. They sought a venue that could hold the weight of history while allowing for a thoroughly modern celebration of love. We designed the day as a three-act opera. The arrival by Riva boat, the ceremony in the Italian gardens facing the water, and a candlelit dinner in the frescoed halls where time seemed to suspend itself. The palette was drawn directly from the villa's facade: terracotta, cream, and soft sage.

Logistically, orchestrating 180 guests across water transport, a lakeside ceremony, and a multi-room dinner service required military precision. Every vendor was briefed with minute-by-minute run sheets. The floral architecture alone — cascading arrangements of garden roses, ranunculus, and trailing jasmine — required a team of eight working through the night.

Every moment was orchestrated to perfection. From the ceremony at sunset to the final dance under the stars, it was beyond anything we imagined.
